We stayed at your cottage from 28th September-2nd November 2009
We have been to Dalyan 4 times but this was the best holiday ever.
The cottage is set in a rural village with cows, goats, chickens, and the smells of the countryside. The people in the village were very friendly to us.We were lucky to see a traditional wedding while we were there just across from the cottage
The cottage had grapes growing round the gates and there were pomagranate and orange trees in fruit in the garden.
We loved the relaxed feeling and for our first week we seemed to sleep a lot but then you realise just how tired you were before you came to Dalyan and then felt ourselves drifting into Dalyan time.
We were very comefortable and everything that we could possibly need and more besides had already been thought of by Hilary.
We had a wonderful time and hope to return to Dalyan again.

Just wanted to say what a brilliant time my friend and I had at Pomegranate Cottage. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the river, town centre and restaurants. The cottage was well equipped and like home from home and Barbara and John next door were really welcoming, helpful and friendly. I am really looking forward to going back.

I came back at the end of May, from a wonderful holiday in Pomegranate Cottage and I am still enjoying the vivid memories of magnificent scenery and friendly people. The cottage is so beautifully in keeping with a holiday in Turkey I just cannot wait to book my next holiday. The garden affords all types of out door lounging.
The trees allow for shade but just a move to the right or left and the glorious sun shines down.
I was wise enough to purchase Bio Astin from Lifelong products and rejoiced in not one sign of prickly heat, which is a skin problem I had always suffered from if exposed to the sun.Thank you Hilary for a wonderful holiday and thank you Lifelong products for a rash free holiday.I will be back!!

I stayed at Pomegranate Cottage in 2006 and had a fantastic holiday.
Dalyan is a beautiful place to visit and there is a lot to do. Obviously there are the beach, river and lake but there is also the countryside to go exploring. Or just wander around the quiet streets near to the Cottage and you will see everyday Turkish life and be greeted by friendly waves and smiles.
From the cottage, it is only a short level walk into Dalyan town, where you will find shops bars and restaurants. There’s also the dolmus station where you can catch local minibuses to go further afield.
You will find everything you need in the cottage and if its relaxation you are after it is perfect. Relax in the shady garden or nip next door to Ali Baba to have a swim or a beer.
Oh and one more suggestion - get your bearings when you arrive by taking a microlite flight over Dalyan - amazing! And then have breakfast next door at Gulbasha's, where you can have great fresh food and then lie on cushions next to the river and relax.
I will be back this year!!

From the friendly meeting at the airport to the smoothly organized departure, our week at Pomegranate cottage was all pleasure. The traditional Turkish house has been sensitively modernised to provide all comforts and conveniences within a traditional ambience, and everything we required was just as and where it should be, and of course you have the lovely pool and poolside bar at the Ali Baba just round the corner, where lovely Miriam will make you feel at home.
We liked the location too, in a quiet corner of the village amongst local people, and just a short stroll from the centre and the riverside, a most enjoyable stroll at that, meeting and greeting along the way friendly people and dogs and cats and once a tortoise!
Be sure to discover the little pancake place on the way, great for breakfast! The unassuming little family-run restaurant in the trees by the roundabout is not to be missed for an evening meal. Real Turkish food, simply superb, and wonderful hospitality.
As a base from which to explore the unique delights of Dalyan, Pomegranate Cottage would be hard to beat, our only regret was not having more time to enjoy it!
Thanks and All The Best,

My wife and I felt that we must write to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your Cottage, once in July and then again in Sept/Oct.
From the day we arrived, we felt at home there. It is a traditional cottage, with many of the original features, yet we found it to be very comfortable and extremely well equipped, you seemed to have thought of everything!! We would often sit on the balcony or in the Chardak in the garden, enjoying our morning cuppa and afternoon tea, taking in the ambience.
As my wife had been unwell, we appreciated being able to rest in the comfort of the cottage. It was also pleasant to be in a quiet area, yet if we wished to venture into the town for a meal or drink, it was only a short walk to the main town, with many restaurants and small bars nearby.
Dalyan is a delightful place - lovely walks by the river; little bars and restaurants line the river - there are many boat trips to take advantage of, from a short trip across the river to a longer all-day trip - the delightful square with the beautiful mosque, children’s play area, various stalls and an array of different bars, restaurants and shops. There is a beautiful beach with miles of sand - the beach is just a short 20 minute drive; it is worth going down to the beach just for the spectacular views of the lakes and mountains on the way.
There is so much to do and see in Dalyan without the hussle and bussle of some resorts. The people are exceptionally friendly, from the shop keepers to the bar and restaurant owners and their staff. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from, serving good food at very reasonable prices. Dalyan runs regular local buses and coach trips to the nearby towns and villages, which are well worth a visit.
We have been to Dalyan before and would definitely stay there again. We would also love to stay in Pomegranate Cottage again next time, if it is available; we liked being able to use the Pool at the nearby Hotel; they are extremely helpful and friendly there.
Dalyan is only about a twenty-five minute drive from the airport – another bonus – and so nice to have our trip to and from the Airport, organised for us.
Thank you again and we look forward to meeting you again next year.
With kind regards,
Joan & Len Pierce
